Target Information
Transaldolase 1은 nonoxidative pentose phosphate pathway의 핵심 효소로, 핵산 합성을 위한 ribose-5-phosphate와 지질 생합성을 위한 NADPH를 제공합니다. 또한 glutathione을 환원 상태로 유지하여 산화 스트레스로부터 세포를 보호합니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 11에 위치하며, 염색체 1에도 pseudogene이 존재합니다. 이 유전자는 다발성 경화증과 관련이 있을 것으로 추정됩니다.
