Target Information
Pepsin은 단일 폴리펩타이드 사슬로 구성되며, 전구체인 pepsinogen으로부터 N-말단의 41개 아미노산 절단을 통해 생성됩니다. Pepsinogen은 위 점막에서 합성되며, 위산(HCl)은 비활성 효소를 활성화하고 pepsin 기능에 최적의 산성(pH 1–3)을 유지하는 데 필요합니다. Pepsin은 방향족 아미노산을 포함하는 펩타이드 결합 절단에 특히 효과적이며, 매우 넓은 기질 특이성을 보입니다. Pepsin A는 pepsin family의 A1 하위군에 속하며, 척추동물 위액 내 주요 endopeptidase입니다. Pepsin A는 uterine serpin인 ovUS-1에 의해 억제됩니다.
