Target Information
Component of the BRISC complex, a multiprotein complex that specifically cleaves Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin, leaving the last ubiquitin chain attached to its substrates.
May act as a central scaffold protein assembling the BRISC complex components and retaining them in the cytoplasm.
Plays a role in regulating apoptosis via modulation of Lys-63-linked ubiquitination of target proteins.
Required for normal mitotic spindle assembly and microtubule attachment to kinetochores by deubiquitinating NUMA1.
Involved in interferon signaling via deubiquitination of IFNAR1, enhancing its stability and surface expression.
Down-regulates the response to bacterial LPS through IFNAR1 deubiquitination.
Required for normal induction of p53/TP53 in response to DNA damage, promoting USP7–p53 interaction and preventing p53 degradation, leading to increased p53-mediated transcription and apoptosis.
