Target Information
HIPPI는 섬모 형성에 필수적인 단백질로, Sonic Hedgehog 신호전달 경로에 간접적으로 관여합니다. 또한 HIP1과의 상호작용을 통해 caspase-8을 모집하여 세포자멸사를 유도하는 기능을 가집니다.
HIPPI는 caspase 유전자(CASP1, CASP8, CASP10 등)의 프로모터에 존재하는 DNA 서열 모티프 5'-AAAGACATG-3'에 결합할 수 있으며, 전사 조절자로서 작용할 가능성이 제시되었습니다.
