Target Information
Elicits platelet aggregation by binding to the C-type lectin domain family 1 member B (CLEC1B/CLEC2). This interaction leads to tyrosine phosphorylation in the cytoplasmic tail of CLEC1B, promoting the binding of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk), activation of PLC-γ2, and platelet activation and aggregation. Binding to GPIbα (GP1BA) and α2/β1 (ITGA2/ITGB1) may also induce aggregation, though this remains controversial.
