• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin) is a classical cadherin from the calcium-dependent adhesion protein superfamily.
It is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein composed of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail.
Mutations in this gene are associated with gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid, and ovarian cancers.
Loss of function can contribute to cancer progression by enhancing proliferation, invasion, and metastasis.
E-Cadherin plays a crucial role in maintaining tissue architecture and integrity.
In humans, E-Cadherin is encoded by the CDH1 gene located on chromosome 16.
