One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that incorporates 1 nmol of [³²P] from [γ-³²P]ATP into acid-insoluble products in 30 minutes at 37°C and pH 7.6, using calf thymus DNA activated by micrococcal nuclease as the substrate.
