Target Information

STK38 (also known as NDR) or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the AGC kinase family, regulated by Mob proteins. Activation occurs upon Fas and TNFα receptor stimulation via phosphorylation at the hydrophobic motif.
NDR acts as a pro-apoptotic kinase and is a key member of the RASSF1A/MST1 signaling cascade. It ensures mitotic chromosome alignment fidelity and is incorporated into HIV-1 particles, where it is cleaved by HIV-1 protease. STK38-driven centrosome duplication requires Cdk2 activity, and reduction of STK38 affects Cdk2-induced centrosome amplification.
