This antibody detects endogenous levels of total TLK2.
Target Information
TLK2 (Tousled-like kinase 2) is a nuclear serine/threonine kinase involved in chromatin assembly regulation and other cellular processes such as intracellular signaling, protein phosphorylation, cell cycle progression, chromatin modification, and response to DNA damage. TLK2 activity peaks during the S phase and is regulated by cell cycle-dependent phosphorylation. It becomes inactivated upon DNA replication inhibition, indicating a close link to replication. TLK2 forms heterodimers with TLK1 and is widely expressed in fetal and adult tissues including placenta, liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, and skeletal muscle.
