This antibody detects endogenous levels of total VRK2.
Target Information
VRK2 (vaccinia related kinase 2) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the VRK family. It is widely expressed in human tissues and is highly expressed in actively dividing cells such as those in testis, leukocytes, fetal liver, and carcinomas. VRK2 can phosphorylate casein and undergo autophosphorylation. It specifically interacts with Epstein-Barr virus BHRF1, a Bcl-2 homologue, contributing to protection from apoptosis.
