DPP10은 사이토카인 및 케모카인의 말단 디펩타이드를 절단하는 디펩티딜 펩티다아제(DPP) 계열의 상동체를 암호화하는 새로운 유전자입니다. DPP10 단백질은 선천 면역계의 케모카인 처리에 중요한 역할을 하는 DPP4를 포함한 S9B 계열의 DPP 세린 프로테아제와 구조적 유사성을 지닙니다. 해당 유전자는 복잡한 전사 스플라이싱 패턴을 보이며, 8개의 대체 첫 번째 엑손 중 4개가 천식과 강하게 연관된 LD 블록 내에 위치합니다.
