Bovine, Human, Mouse, Ovine, Rat 시료에서 반응성을 나타내며, 면역원은 정제된 소 미세소관 관련 단백질입니다.
Target Information
Tau는 주로 신경세포 축삭에서 발견되는 미세소관 결합 단백질로, tubulin 중합을 촉진하고 미세소관을 안정화하는 역할을 합니다.
C-말단은 축삭 미세소관에 결합하고, N-말단은 신경세포막 구성요소에 결합하여 두 구조를 연결하는 역할을 합니다.
Tau의 위치는 세포체 내 중심체에 의해 정의되며, 짧은 isoform은 세포골격의 유연성을, 긴 isoform은 안정화를 담당합니다.
과인산화된 Tau는 Alzheimer’s disease(AD) 뇌에서 신경섬유 엉킴(PHF)의 주요 구성 요소로, 미세소관 결합 기능을 손상시켜 신경세포 퇴화를 유발합니다.
Tau는 GSK-3β, PKA, cdk5, casein kinase II 등 다양한 serine/threonine kinase에 의해 인산화됩니다.
과인산화된 Tau는 Pick’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, corticobasal degeneration, progressive supranuclear palsy 등 다양한 신경퇴행성 질환에서도 발견됩니다.
