Target Information
EDC4 plays a role in mRNA degradation and decapping. It is a component of a complex with DCP2 and DCP1A, functioning in decapping of ARE-containing mRNAs. EDC4 promotes complex formation between DCP1A and DCP2 and enhances the catalytic activity of DCP2 in vitro.
