Target Information
CD49f (Integrin alpha-6, ITGA6)는 세포 표면 단백질로, α 및 β 사슬로 구성된 인테그린 복합체의 α6 사슬을 암호화합니다.
α6는 β4와 결합하여 TSP180 인테그린을, β1과 결합하여 VLA-6 인테그린을 형성합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 부착 및 세포 표면 신호 전달에 관여하며, ECM(세포외기질)과 세포골격 간의 구조적·기능적 연결을 매개합니다.
또한 성장 인자 신호와 연동되어 세포 증식, 이동, 생존 등에 영향을 미칩니다.
CD49f는 주로 상피세포에서 발현되며, hemidesmosome의 구조적 안정성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
포유류에서는 18개 이상의 α 및 8개 이상의 β 서브유닛이 다양한 스플라이스 변이 형태로 존재합니다.
