Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The TDP1 protein is involved in repairing stalled topoisomerase I-DNA complexes by catalyzing hydrolysis of the phosphodiester bond between the tyrosine residue of topoisomerase I and the 3′ phosphate of DNA. It may also remove glycolate from single-stranded DNA containing 3′ phosphoglycolate, suggesting a role in repair of free-radical mediated DNA double-strand breaks. This gene belongs to the phospholipase D family and contains two PLD phosphodiesterase domains. Mutations are associated with spinocerebellar ataxia with axonal neuropathy (SCAN1). Two major transcript variants encode the same isoform.
