Target Information
PCNA (polymerase delta auxiliary protein)은 DNA 복제에 필수적이며, DNA 절제 및 불일치 수선 경로에 관여합니다.
PCNA는 CDK 억제제 p21, 구조 특이적 엔도뉴클레아제 Fen1 및 XPG, DNA cytosine 5-methyltransferase (MCMT)와 결합합니다.
세포 증식 가능성 및 종양 조직의 증식 상태를 확인하는 유용한 마커로 사용됩니다.
PCNA는 세포 주기의 초기 G1 및 S기에 존재하며, DNA polymerase delta의 보조인자로 작용하여 DNA 복제 중 선도 가닥 합성의 효율을 높입니다.
DNA 손상 시 PCNA는 유비퀴틴화되어 RAD6 의존적 DNA 수선 경로에 관여합니다.
두 가지 전사 변이체가 동일한 단백질을 암호화하며, 염색체 4 및 X 염색체에 위유전자가 보고되었습니다.
