Target Information
DTX2 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and is a regulator of Notch signaling, a pathway involved in cell-cell communication and cell fate determination. It can act as both a positive and negative regulator of Notch depending on developmental and cellular context. DTX2 mediates the antineural activity of Notch, possibly by inhibiting transcriptional activation mediated by MATCH1. It functions as a ubiquitin ligase protein in vitro, suggesting regulation of the Notch pathway through ubiquitin ligase activity.
