This antibody has specificity for Human nemo-like kinase.
Target Information
NLK (Nemo-like kinase) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in signal transduction and cellular communication.
It acts as a positive effector of the non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway, functioning downstream of WNT5A, MAP3K7/TAK1, and HIPK2.
Activation leads to phosphorylation of SETDB1, forming a complex that interacts with PPARG, resulting in histone H3K9 methylation and transcriptional silencing of PPARG target genes.
This mechanism inhibits adipogenesis and promotes osteoblastogenesis in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
NLK also negatively regulates the canonical Wnt/β-catenin and Notch signaling pathways, as well as MYB family transcription factors.
