Product Specific Information
This F(ab)-Goat anti-Mouse IgG1 Fc specific antibody is a goat polyclonal F(ab) fragment that specifically binds to the Fc region of mouse IgG1 isotype. It shows minimal to no cross-reactivity with mouse IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3, and other species (rat, rabbit, guinea pig, bovine, hamster, horse, sheep, human, monkey, donkey, chicken IgG). Mild cross-reactivity with rat IgG2a may occur.
F(ab) fragments offer advantages over whole IgG antibodies due to their smaller size (~50 kDa vs. ~150 kDa) and lack of Fc region:
- Improved tissue penetration and staining in IHC
- Reduced nonspecific background from Fc receptor binding
- Enhanced multiplexing capability in ICC, IHC, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blot
Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background caused by aggregates.
