Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) superfamily. It is the principal inhibitor of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and urokinase (uPA), acting as an inhibitor of fibrinolysis.
Defects in this gene cause plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 deficiency (PAI-1 deficiency), and high concentrations of its product are associated with thrombophilia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
