Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CTDSP1 is a class 2C phosphatase with activity dependent on the conserved DxD motif. Expression of CTDSP1 inhibits activated transcription from several promoter-reporter gene constructs, while phosphatase-inactive mutants enhance transcription.
REST/NRSF complex recruits SCPs to neuronal genes containing RE1 elements, leading to gene silencing in nonneuronal cells. Phosphatase-inactive SCPs interfere with REST/NRSF function and promote neuronal differentiation. SCP activity is an evolutionarily conserved transcriptional regulator that globally silences neuronal genes.
