Invitrogen™ Myeloperoxidase (MPO) Colorimetric Activity Kit
The Myeloperoxidase (MPO) Colorimetric Assay Kit is a highly reliable and sensitive assay designed for the quantitative measurement of MPO in serum, plasma, milk, and animal tissue.
MPO is an enzyme belonging to the heme peroxidase family, mainly found in neutrophils, and plays a crucial role in the innate immune response against pathogens. It is closely associated with the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, lung injury, and cancer.
In this assay, MPO reduces hydrogen peroxide to a complex that reacts with o-dianisidine to produce a yellow product with a maximum absorption at 460 nm, allowing quantitative determination of MPO activity.
