Target Information

MAP2K3 (MEK3)는 세포 신호전달 경로에서 중요한 역할을 하는 dual-specificity protein kinase입니다. 이 효소는 MAPK14/p38-MAPK를 인산화하여 활성화시키며, 인슐린에 의해 활성화될 수 있습니다. 또한 포도당 수송체의 발현에 필요하며, RAS 온코진의 발현은 MAP2K3의 활성형 축적과 MAPK14의 지속적 활성화를 유도하여 세포의 종양성 변환에 기여할 수 있습니다.
이 효소의 억제는 Yersinia pseudotuberculosis의 병인과 관련이 있습니다. MEK3는 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 통해 다양한 아이소폼을 생성합니다.
