Target Information
N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors are ionotropic glutamate-gated ion channels involved in long-term potentiation, a process underlying memory and learning. NMDA receptor channels are heteromers composed of NMDAR1 (GRIN1) and one or more NMDAR2 subunits (GRIN2A, GRIN2B, GRIN2C, GRIN2D). Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms for this gene.
