Target Information
This gene encodes a protein involved in kinetochore function, though its precise role remains unclear. It interacts with ZW10, potentially regulating the association between ZW10 and kinetochores. The protein localizes to prophase kinetochores before ZW10 and remains detectable until late anaphase. It is uniformly distributed in the cytoplasm of interphase cells. Alternative splicing produces multiple isoforms.
