Target Information
The GRB7 gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that belongs to a small family of adapter proteins known to interact with various receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules.
This protein binds to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and ephrin receptors and plays a role in the integrin signaling pathway and cell migration through interaction with focal adhesion kinase (FAK).
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, with two full-length variants identified to date.
