Target Information
TPMT는 thiopurine 약물(예: 6-mercaptopurine)의 S-methylation을 촉매하는 효소입니다. TPMT 결함은 thiopurine S-methyltransferase 결핍증(TPMT deficiency)의 원인이 됩니다. TPMT는 면역억제제 또는 세포독성 약물로 사용되는 thiopurine 약물의 대사적 불활성화에 관여합니다. 이러한 약물은 백혈병, 자가면역질환 및 장기이식 등 다양한 임상 상태에서 처방됩니다. TPMT 활성이 중간 또는 결핍된 환자는 표준 용량의 thiopurine 약물 투여 시 독성 위험이 있으며, 이 약물에 대한 개인 간 반응 차이는 TPMT 유전자 좌위의 유전적 변이에 의해 결정됩니다.
