KLHL1의 예측 분자량은 약 82 kDa입니다. Western blot에서 whole rat brain lysate에서는 검출되지 않았으나, hippocampal neuronal cell lysate에서는 KLHL1을 검출하였습니다.

Kelch-like 1 (KLHL1)은 Drosophila Kelch 유전자와 상동성을 가지며, 여러 뇌 조직에서 높게 발현되는 단백질입니다. KLHL1의 단백질 도메인 구조는 actin 결합 및 이합체 형성, actin 조직화 기능을 가진 단백질들과 유사합니다.
