Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is part of the eIF4F complex, involved in mRNA cap recognition and transport to the ribosome.
MicroRNA miR-520c-3p negatively regulates this protein, leading to reduced protein translation and cell proliferation.
Thus, eIF4G3 is a key component of the anti-tumor activity of miR-520c-3p.
