Target Information
ICAM-2는 intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) 계열의 단백질로, type I transmembrane glycoprotein입니다.
모든 ICAM 단백질은 2–9개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domain을 가지며, leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 단백질과 결합합니다.
ICAM-2는 LFA-1 의존적 세포 부착을 차단함으로써 림프구 재순환에 관여할 수 있으며, 항원 특이적 면역 반응, NK 세포 매개 제거, 림프구 재순환 및 면역 감시에 중요한 세포 간 상호작용을 매개합니다.
이 유전자는 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변형체를 가질 수 있으며, ICAM2 관련 질환으로는 Colon Carcinoma In Situ가 보고되어 있습니다.
