Target Information
Caveolin-3 (CAV3)는 caveolar 막 내에서 스캐폴딩 단백질로 작용하며, G-단백질 알파 소단위와 직접 상호작용하여 그 활성을 조절할 수 있습니다. 또한 전압 개폐성 칼륨 채널을 조절하고, 골격근 및 심근세포의 sarcolemma 복구 기전에 관여하여 기계적 스트레스로 인한 막 손상을 빠르게 복구하도록 돕습니다. Caveolin-3는 CAVIN2 및 CAVIN3 단백질을 caveolae로 모집하는 역할도 수행합니다.
CAV3 유전자의 돌연변이는 HyperCKmia, rippling muscle disease 2, cardiomyopathy, long QT syndrome 9, sudden infant death syndrome, myopathy 등의 질환과 연관됩니다.
