This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody specifically recognizes Rat RBP4.
Target Information
RBP4 belongs to the lipocalin family and acts as the specific carrier for retinol in the blood, delivering retinol from liver stores to peripheral tissues. In plasma, the RBP–retinol complex interacts with transthyretin to prevent renal filtration loss. Vitamin A deficiency blocks secretion of this binding protein post-translationally, leading to defective retinol delivery to epidermal cells.
