Product Specific Information

The anti-mouse IgG rat polyclonal antibody reacts with the heavy and light chains of mouse IgG, showing minimal cross-reactivity with human, bovine, horse, rat, and rabbit serum proteins. No reactivity has been detected with non-immunoglobulin mouse serum proteins. This antibody recognizes light chains of other mouse immunoglobulins.

Applications Reported:
When used with enzyme- or fluorochrome-conjugated Streptavidin (SAV) or Avidin (AV), this antibody enables detection of purified mouse IgG in ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.

Applications Tested:
Validated for flow cytometric detection of purified mouse monoclonal antibodies. Recommended usage ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal antibody concentration should be determined empirically. Antibody has been adsorbed and tested by ELISA to minimize cross-reactivity with human, bovine, horse, and mouse serum proteins, though cross-reactivity with other species’ immunoglobulins may occur.

Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified reagents with high specificity for mouse immunoglobulins. They are widely used for detection, sorting, or purification of mouse antibodies. Secondary antibodies enhance assay versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Typically, these antibodies are generated by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and optional modifications such as label conjugation or fragmentation.
