Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
WD-repeats are conserved motifs (40–60 amino acids) found in many proteins forming a propeller-like tertiary structure. Proteins containing WD-repeats play roles in signal transduction, apoptosis, transcriptional regulation, and cell cycle control.
WDR48 (WD repeat-containing protein 48), also known as USP1-associated factor 1 (p80), is a 677 amino acid protein with eight WD repeats. It regulates deubiquitinating complexes by activating USP1, USP12, and USP46, enhancing catalytic turnover without altering substrate affinity.
WDR48 is ubiquitously expressed and mainly localized in the cytoplasm. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
