Target Information
Heme oxygenase (HO)는 heme을 biliverdin과 carbon monoxide로 산화시키는 미소체 효소입니다. HO는 유도성 HO-1과 항상성 HO-2 두 가지 동형효소로 구성되어 있습니다. HO-1은 산화 스트레스, 염증 인자, TGF-β, 열 쇼크 등에 의해 유도되며, 세포가 산화 스트레스에 대응하기 위한 방어 기전으로 작용합니다. HO의 발현 증가로 인해 bilirubin 생성이 증가하여 항산화 효과를 나타냅니다.
