Target Information
RBP4 단백질은 리포칼린(lipocalin) 패밀리에 속하며, 혈액 내에서 레티놀(retinol)의 특정 운반체 역할을 합니다.
간에 저장된 레티놀을 말초 조직으로 전달하며, 혈장 내에서는 transthyretin과 복합체를 형성하여 신장 사구체를 통한 손실을 방지합니다.
비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 차단되어 피부 세포로의 비타민 공급에 이상이 생깁니다.
