Target Information
SLC4A4 (Electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter 1)은 전기발생성 나트륨/중탄산염 공동수송체로, Na(+):HCO3(-) 비율이 1:2에서 1:3 사이로 변화합니다. 세포 기저막에서 중탄산염의 유입 및 유출을 조절하여 세포 내 pH를 조절하는 역할을 할 수 있습니다. SLC4A4는 carbonic anhydrase 2 및 4와 상호작용하여 수송체 활성을 조절할 수 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 생성된 네 가지 명명된 아이소폼이 존재하며, 이 유전자는 중탄산염 분비 및 흡수, 세포 내 pH 조절에 관여하는 나트륨-중탄산염 공동수송체를 암호화합니다. 이 유전자의 변이는 근위 세뇨관 산증(proximal renal tubular acidosis)과 관련이 있습니다. 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
