Product Specific Information
- Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
- Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
- Store upon arrival at -20°C.

Target Information
The product of this gene belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP. This receptor functions as a ligand-gated ion channel and mediates ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages by forming membrane pores permeable to large molecules. Activation by ATP in the cytoplasm may link cellular activity to changes in gene expression. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified, most fitting nonsense-mediated decay criteria.
