Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while maintaining lot-to-lot consistency only achievable with recombinant production.

Functionally, these antibodies recognize multiple epitopes on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability typical of traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is isolated from sea anemone (Discosoma sp., UniProt ID: Q9U6Y8). It is widely used as a molecular tag to study protein localization, reporter gene expression, and protein–protein interactions. Although it naturally exists as a homotetramer, monomeric variants have been engineered for diverse research applications.
