This product is preservative-free. To avoid contamination, it is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

DIABLO (Smac) is a mitochondrial protein involved in the activation of apoptosis by neutralizing inhibitors of apoptosis (IAP family). During apoptotic signaling, Smac/DIABLO is released from mitochondria into the cytosol, where it contributes to the regulation of cell death pathways.

Mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis plays a crucial role in development and tissue homeostasis, and its dysregulation is associated with malignancies. Smac/DIABLO also modulates cancer cell sensitivity to apoptosis induced by immune or chemotherapeutic stimuli.
