Target Information
Alpha-1-B glycoprotein (A1BG) is a plasma protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily, with no known biological function. It consists of one polypeptide chain of 474 amino acids (~63 kDa) and four glucosamine oligosaccharides. The protein contains five intrachain disulfide bonds forming five structural domains (~95 amino acids each). Recent studies suggest that A1BG interacts with cysteine-rich secretory protein 3 (CRISP-3), possibly providing a protective function against free CRISP-3 in circulation.
