The Human IGFBP-2 Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures IGFBP-2 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (Cat. No. EPX010-10420-901) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

Recommended sample pre-dilution for serum and plasma samples: 1:100

ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the principles of a sandwich ELISA using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein. This allows simultaneous quantitation of multiple protein targets using a Luminex instrument.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

The Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex xMAP detection systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, and MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific for a single target protein, and bound proteins are detected with biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to a magnetic bead and remains free-floating in solution. Detection is performed via dual-laser systems measuring bead identity and RPE fluorescence intensity, which correlates with protein concentration.

응용 분야

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays can profile more target proteins using significantly less sample volume in similar time as traditional ELISA. Multiplex panels are available across six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
