Target Information
Helicobacter pylori is a microaerophilic, gram-negative, helix-shaped bacterium known to cause peptic ulcers and chronic gastritis in humans. It is associated with duodenal ulcers and may contribute to the development of adenocarcinoma and low-grade lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) in the stomach. Numerous diverse strains exist.
