Thiosulfate:glutathione sulfurtransferase (TST)는 S-sulfanylglutathione (GSS(-))을 생성하는 효소로, hydrogen sulfide 대사에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다 (PubMed:24981631). TST는 sulfide:quinone oxidoreductase (SQOR)가 H₂S를 thiosulfate로 전환하는 반응과 sulfur dioxygenase (SDO)가 GSS(-)를 기질로 사용하는 반응 사이의 연결고리를 제공합니다. 이러한 반응은 생리학적으로 thiosulfate를 sulfane donor로 사용하는 모델을 제시합니다 (PubMed:24981631).
