Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Thrombomodulin is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Thrombomodulin (TM), also known as Fetomodulin (FM), endothelial anticoagulant protein, or glycoprotein P112, is a membrane glycoprotein expressed on endothelial cells. TM contains six EGF-like domains and a lectin-like N-terminal domain. It plays a critical role in anticoagulation by accelerating the activation of protein C, contributing to thrombo-resistance and reducing clot formation on endothelial surfaces.
Immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissue for TM has been used in studies of vascular tumors, meningiomas, and choriocarcinomas.
