ARPC4 유전자는 인간 Arp2/3 단백질 복합체의 7개 소단위 중 하나를 암호화합니다.
이 복합체는 세포 내 액틴 중합을 조절하며, 진핵생물 전반에 걸쳐 보존되어 있습니다.
ARPC4는 p20 서브유닛을 암호화하며, 액틴 핵형성과 F-액틴에 대한 고친화 결합에 필수적입니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사 변이가 존재하며, 하류의 TUBG3L 유전자와의 리드스루 전사로 융합 단백질이 생성될 수 있습니다.
