Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
- After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Rat anti-Dog CD4 antibody, clone YKIX302.9, is a monoclonal antibody specific for the canine CD4 cell surface antigen.
Target Information
The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV.
CD4 is primarily expressed on T helper cells but may also be found on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression can be detected in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 functions to initiate or augment early T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck.
It may also mediate neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
