This antibody detects endogenous levels of total KLHL8 protein.
Target Information
Kelch-like protein 8 (KLHL8) is encoded by the KLHL8 gene in humans. The mRNA contains a repetitive element in its 3′ UTR, and the deduced 451-amino acid protein shares 36% identity with the actin-binding protein MAYVEN.
RT-PCR and ELISA analyses show highest expression in adult brain, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and ovary, particularly in the amygdala and thalamus. Moderate expression is detected in other adult and fetal tissues.
