Target Information

CD56 (NCAM, neural cell adhesion molecule)은 면역글로불린 패밀리에 속하는 세포막 당단백질로, 신경계 전반에 걸쳐 120–180 kDa의 다양한 아이소폼 형태로 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 T세포와 NK세포에도 존재하며, 세포 이동, 축삭 성장, 경로 탐색 및 시냅스 가소성에 관여합니다.
다당류 변형은 CD56 매개 세포 부착을 감소시키며, 세포외 영역을 통해 라미닌(laminin) 및 인테그린(integrin)과 같은 세포외 기질 구성요소와 상호작용합니다.
CD56은 대부분의 신경외배엽 유래 세포주, 조직 및 신생물(예: 망막모세포종, 수모세포종, 성상세포종, 신경모세포종)에서 발현됩니다.
또한 CD56은 신경내분비 종양 및 난소 과립막세포종에서 높은 민감도를 보이는 신경내분비 표지자로 널리 사용됩니다.
CD56 기능 이상과 관련된 질환으로는 광견병 및 모세포형 수지상세포 신생물이 있습니다.
