This antibody detects endogenous levels of Integrin alpha4 only when phosphorylated at Ser1027.
Target Information
Integrin alpha4 (also known as CD49d and ITGA4) is a member of the integrin alpha chain protein family. Integrins are heterodimeric membrane proteins composed of alpha and beta chains. The alpha4 chain associates with either beta1 or beta7 chains. Ligand-binding sites for integrin alpha4β1 and alpha4β7 are located on the alpha4 chain, which interacts with ligands such as MadCAM, VCAM, and fibronectin. MadCAM is the principal ligand for integrin alpha4β7. Additionally, HIV-1 envelope has been shown to mimic MadCAM by binding to and signaling through integrin alpha4β7, a gut mucosal homing receptor for peripheral T cells.
